The United International Business School (UIBS) has partnered up with Certifaction to offer their students blockchain-verifiable diplomas through Certifaction, as one of the first higher education institutions to do so.

As an international higher education institution with locations worldwide, UIBS represents over 100 nationalities among its alumni who work in various organizations across many industries. For students, the diploma verification process can take up a significant amount of time and be overly complicated, leading to delayed decisions.

UIBS’ objective was to provide blockchain secure and tamper-proof diplomas for its students, which reduces this verification time significantly and solidifies the institution’s own reputation as an innovative organization at the forefront of technology use and implementation.

With blockchain-verifiable diplomas we are able to take our diploma granting and verification process to the next level. We are very excited to offer this cutting-edge technology to our students and integrate it into our daily operations”, says Mr. Thierry Kirschstein, Managing Director of UIBS.

Certifaction was developed to bring back trust to the digital world. Enabling educational institutions to fight fraud and cut the red tape in the diploma/document verification process is one of its first real-world use cases to be implemented.

Certifaction’s CEO & Co-Founder Benoit Henry says: “We are delighted to welcome UIBS to our Certifaction family. With our solution, this leading business school with a global footprint adopts a cutting-edge, yet easy-to-use blockchain technology, that will both protect the integrity of their diplomas and position them as a forerunner in the technology space”.

Fighting diploma fraud with Certifaction

Certifaction leads the way in innovative and secure blockchain document certification, reducing processing time from 60 minutes to mere seconds. In less than a couple of minutes, any person can start with the certification of documents. Within seconds, a verifier can drag and drop a document to check its authenticity and issuer. No prior blockchain knowledge is needed.

Privacy is among Certifaction’s top concerns, which is why only the hash-value is stored on the blockchain, keeping all information confidential. Information processing occurs locally, ensuring the information never leaves the user’s environment.

Certifaction provides a number of benefits to the entire ecosystem, creating trust in a digital world and increasing efficiency.

UIBS protects its reputation and fights diploma fraud in an easy and effective manner, positioning themselves as innovative and offering their students an added benefit. Additionally, they eliminate any administrative effort in the verification process.

The students increase their credibility and can easily share their certified diploma with future employers. They will receive quicker answers during the recruitment process due to the faster verification process.

The employer reduces their hiring risk, as only applicants with verified qualifications and credentials are employed. They see an efficiency gain in the verification process which allows them to give applicants quicker responses.
